Sunglasses are cool.  Yes, they provide UV protection and preserve your eyesight, but the truth is, everyone wants a pair of shades that makes them look great, AND feel great.  No one wants cool eyes that slip and feel crooked or give you headaches!!  Hibiscus Sunglasses is about the look but also the FEEL.  We are all about that Ah….Haaaaaa moment you have when you slide on a fabulous pair of shades and they look amazing and feel even better.  The visionary of the company was a successful fashion model for 3 years before she became a professional cyclist, and her cycling career spanned 8 years with National titles and gold medals along the way.  She always wanted her sunglasses functional yet fashionable and was the first one to wear functional fashion eyewear out on the race course.  Hibiscus Sunglasses focus’s on its visionary’s idea of only selling brands that have style AND comfort as their marquis statement.  You can be mysterious and chic yet sporty and bold.  Sunglasses can take on any form and provide an instant personality transformation.  Sunglasses are the gateway accessory to style AND the tech solution that saves sight.

How we got started...

CEO - Dotsie Bausch:  Adventures in Sunglasses and Watches!  Hi there!  Thanks for being a loyal customer.  I love my on-line accessories store and have a fantastic time buying and selling sunglasses and watches here.  I started just a few years ago when I first met my husband.  He has been in the action sports industry his entire life.  When I met him he had at least 200 pairs of sunglasses just sitting in boxes in the garage.  I had some experience selling on ebay with my bicycles, so I thought of starting a small store to sell all of these beautiful sunglasses.  Well, it has been almost 6 years, and it is going great!  I buy some of my inventory from reps in the industry.  I purchase their sample sets, which they have to buy from the company, but when the new season of inventory comes out, they have last season's samples with no where to go.  That is where I come in!  I buy their samples, which are obviously brand new and never been worn, but are at rock bottom prices.  Then I can pass that amazing savings on to you!  I also buy eyewear direct from vendors, anything from discontinued items to new season fashions – I handpick items that fit within the essence of Hibiscus Sunglasses.  I am also a professional cyclist and a cycling coach, when I am not busy with my store, OR is it the other way around?  Customer Service is what I pride myself on. President - Meg Dietzel:  I have been with Hibiscus Sunglasses in some capacity for about a year.  I came from a very different place than my sister, but that’s makes our partnership so exciting and balanced.  I spent the last 7 years as an officer in the Air Force traveling all over the world with my last assignment being in Honolulu, Hawaii.  After my son was born, I knew it was time for my family to settle down and for me to no longer be at risk of deployment.  That’s when my sister and I began our exciting conversations about Hibiscus.  Living in Hawaii, participating in amateur racing events, and spending many hours on the beach gave me a whole new appreciation for fabulous eyewear.  After having headaches on and off for months and then finally realizing it was my sunglasses, I truly understood the importance of quality eyewear.  Thus became my interest in the necessity of comfortable but good looking eyewear that serves a purpose whether running the trails, riding the waves, or just sitting in the car fighting Oahu traffic.  I am honored to partner with my sister in this endeavor and share her passion for providing the best customer service in our industry.  Thanks for shopping!
